Q1 2021 Performance of Top Theme Parks Apps in Brazil on iOS

During the first quarter of 2021, the theme parks category on iOS in Brazil saw varying performances among its top applications. Sensor Tower provides a closer look into the metrics that defined this period for the leading apps in this entertainment sector.

My Disney Experience started the quarter with around 541K downloads and concluded with approximately 404K, showing a fluctuation in interest over the period. Weekly active users (WAUs) saw a decline from 1.1M in the last week of December to 767K by the end of March. Revenue displayed a positive trend, starting at $14K in the first week of January and peaking at $47K in the last week of March.

NBCUniversal Media, LLC's Universal Orlando Resort app experienced a decline in downloads from 128K to 83K by the end of Q1. The app's WAUs started at 1.1M, peaked at 1.1M in early February, but eventually decreased to 866K.

Play Disney Parks saw a significant drop in both downloads and WAUs. Downloads fell from 137K to a mere 3K, while WAUs diminished from 171K to 10K, indicating a sharp decrease in engagement.

NBCUniversal Media, LLC's Universal Studios Hollywood™ also witnessed a decline in downloads, starting at 48K and ending the quarter at 25K. The WAUs decreased from 1.1M to 811K over the same period.

Lastly, the Disneyland® app showed an inconsistent downloads trend, starting at 71K, dropping to as low as 2K, and then rising to 15K by the end of March. WAUs showed a downward trend from 963K in the last week of December to 740K in the final week of March, with a slight peak of 1.1M in early January.
